Gravure printing starts at 10,000 pcs. Digital printing is 3,000 pcs per order — digital itself has no true minimum, and the 3,000 pcs floor exists to cover international shipping. Multiple SKUs can be combined to reach 3,000 pcs, but unit price rises noticeably when any single SKU is very small.
One full roll of film is the most economical quantity: a roll holds 6,000 metres, so the quantity per roll equals 6,000 ÷ bag width in metres. For a 160 (W) × 240 (H) + 85 mm pouch, one roll is 6,000 ÷ 0.16 = 37,500 pcs, and gravure unit price is most competitive at that point.
Digital printing suits launches, market tests and multi-SKU orders from 3,000 pcs per order, and it avoids cylinder cost. Gravure printing needs engraved cylinders and starts at 10,000 pcs, but from one full roll onward the unit price is significantly lower and colours stay consistent across repeat runs.
Production lead time is 7-9 days for digital printing and 12-15 days for gravure printing. Both are counted from artwork approval and order confirmation, and they exclude sampling, plate making and international transit — so the date is only fixed once the artwork is signed off.
Send vector artwork — AI, PDF, PSD or CDR — with text converted to outlines where possible. Our team checks bleed, registration and print-safe line weight before cylinder making and tells you which elements will not hold on 7 to 11-color rotogravure, so reprints are avoided.
Size, film structure, thickness and closure are all open to specification, and most formats accept a zipper, degassing valve, spout, tear notch, hang hole or clear window. Because lamination runs in house on 3 solvent-free and 2 dry lines, barrier level can be adjusted for your shelf-life requirement.
